Maribel Razo

Maribel Razo serves as Interim Assistant Principal and brings 14 years of experience in elementary education. Rooted in her Catholic faith and guided by a strong desire to serve others, Maribel was led to Brillante Academy, where she is deeply committed to helping both students and teachers thrive in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Her background as an elementary dual-language teacher has provided her with a strong foundation in early literacy development and dual-language instruction. Additionally, her work as a dual-language coach and interventionist has equipped her with tools and best practices for supporting bilingual students. These experiences have strengthened her passion for mentoring, coaching, and supporting teachers as they continue to grow their instructional expertise and positively impact student learning.

Maribel earned a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas–Pan American and completed her graduate studies earning a Masters of Education in Bilingual Education from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Above all, Maribel considers her greatest blessing and accomplishment to be her family. She is grateful for the love and support of her husband and their two beautiful daughters, who inspire her daily.
