About Us
Brillante Academy is Mission's newest public charter
elementary school!
After the overwhelming success of Brilla Public Charter Schools in the Bronx of New York City, community members in Texas asked if something similar, but unique, could be brought to the Rio Grande Valley. After two years of research, development, and applications, Brillante Academy received its charter to open in August of 2023. This school uses proven methods that are tailored to meet the needs of families in South Texas. We are excited to serve families by making Brillante Academy a place where every child can lead lives of excellence, virtue, purpose, and impact!
Brillante Academy is completely FREE and applications are open now for the 2024-25 school year for PreK-3, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd grade, growing one grade-level at a time to serve up to 8th grade.

Brillante Academy, a school in the classical tradition, helps students to grow intellectually, socially, and physically into young men and women of good character and spirit, and to be prepared for excellence in high school, college, and beyond.

Our Partners
Brillante Academy is managed by Seton Education Partners, a national nonprofit focused on providing academically excellent and character rich education in underserved communities. Seton’s support empowers Brillante’s leaders to focus on setting and implementing a powerful vision for student achievement. Brillante is dedicated to building partnerships all throughout the community, starting with the Seton Teaching Fellows who live as part of the community and assist teachers during the school day.
